“The hippies were right”.
I audibly snorted when Bill Hader said that on a podcast recently. It could have been the goofy midwest accent he used; it emerged in such contrast with the rest of the interview. He’d shared openly about his experience with imposter syndrome and how he’d navigated life after having panic attacks live on the air during his tenure at Saturday Night Live.
Turns out Matt Stone, co-creator of South Park, had said it to Hader first.
“No really, they were right. I know, it sucks”, Stone apparently continued before adding “they’re happy. The shit works. Meditation, gratitude, good relationships… healthy eating…connecting with nature”.
Matt Stone, huh? Who’da thunk.
With advancements in technology and the emergence of AI, the irony of all ironies is that they key to success is still people skills. Check out the video You’re Using ChatGPT Wrong with Jeff Su to learn how direct, clear, and contextualized communication still reigns supreme.
